Privacy and security
Your password
- Your Wesleyan username and password are stored in the Keychain on this Mac only. They aren't synced with iCloud or other devices.
- WesWork fills them in only on Wesleyan's own sign-in page (sso.wesleyan.edu), over a secure connection. Workday's other sign-in pages are shared with other organizations, so WesWork never fills in your password there.
- If Wesleyan rejects your password, WesWork doesn't submit it again, so it can't lock you out of your account.
Your information
- WesWork connects only to Wesleyan's Workday, the Wesleyan and Duo services used to sign in, and your iCloud account. It has no server of its own.
- To keep the counts and badge the same on your Mac, iPhone, and iPad, WesWork saves the four counts and when they were read in your own iCloud account. Nothing else from Workday is synced, and only your devices signed in to the same Apple Account can read it.
- When WesWork locks, the page is blurred and can't be used until you unlock it with Touch ID or your Mac password.
- Roster photos are kept in memory only while you adjust them, and are discarded once you export or cancel.
- Exported roster files contain student information. Keep and share them in line with Wesleyan's policies on student records.
